The Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve situated 11 km to the north of Kathmandu, is another exciting location. Nagarjuna Royal Forest, also known as Jamacho or Rani Ban, is situated 5 km from Kathmandu on the way to Kakani from Balaju. It delights bird enthusiasts with Blue magpies, kalij pheasants, Bonelli’s eagles, Great Himalayan barbets and other exotic birds. Entrance fee is Rs. 10. Gokarna forest, 7 km to the northeast of Kathmandu, boasts the speckled Mountain thrush, orange-headed ground- thrush, brown wood owl and the white-bellied yuhina among other colorful varieties. As for the wetlands in the Valley, the banks of the Manohara river on the way to Bhaktapur, and the Bagmati river,which flows into the Valley from Shivapuri hill and out through Chobhar Gorge, are good places for watching waders and waterfowls. Harboring 40 species of birds mostly dependent on wetlands, Taudaha, a lake on the way to Dakshinkali, attracts flocks of migrant birds. Besides all these places inside Kathmandu Valley the trek little north in the mountain region of Nepal the pheasant (lophophorous) Danphe the national bird of Nepal can be seen. The Koshi Tappu Wildlife reserve, Chitwan National Park would be another place for the bird watching tour.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01Upon arrival at the Kathmandu airport, welcome by our representative & transfer to the hotel. At the hotel briefing about the program by our representative.

Day 02we begin our journey to Chitwan by private Bus it takes (5-6 Hours) Chitwan National park

Day 03We will spend full days in Chitwan National Park. We can wander around this forest exploring the Elephant riding, Boating, cultural Program. We will be blessed with the close up views of various mammals, reptiles and others. We can spend the day exploring

Day 04GO TO Bardiya National Park(7 hours Drive) Briefing and refreshment on arrival in hotel Tharu village tour and Birdwatching inside community forest

Upon Arrival 

Welcome to Nepal!!! Upon arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport Backpacker’s Airport Representatives will pick you up. The travelling plans and agenda’s will be discussed.

Lodging 

Backpacker believes in providing home away from home experience for our valued guests. The accommodation in Kathmandu would be of your choice and level. However, the usual accommodation provided by the company is three star or similar upscale Hotel in downtown. The lodging in trekking would be clearly mentioned in itinerary.

Meals and drinking Water

The meal in Kathmandu would just be a Breakfast as the lodging in Kathmandu is of B&B (Bed and Breakfast) type. While trekking we provide breakfast, lunch and dinner to our guest. The quantity of the food would be unlimited and will be assisted by our guides for the selection of food. The varieties in food would depend on season and availability. However Soup, Noodles, Rice and Seasonal Veggies are common in the trekking area. For breakfast we provide bread, eggs and cereals. We provide necessary assistance while purchasing the water, biscuits, and tender beverages at shops in the location. There are some safe drinking public taps in the trekking area where our guides will escort you.You could purchase bottled mineral water or ask to fill your bottle with boiled water on the accommodation.

Visa requirement
